The Season God: Reviews & Ratings
The wait is short, the staff is actually happy to help, but the food… THE FOOD IS THE BEST PART!! I had the #3 and a watermelon lemonade. The chicken and fries are so crispy and flavorful I think it has changed my life. The watermelon lemonade tastes like a watermelon jolly rancher with a little lemon twist. You MUST come by here and eat.
Food was so good, we had to get another plate. Long story short, we found this place on Instagram and decided to give it a try while on vacation in Orlando. While it was about a 20-30 minute drive from our hotel (LBV), boy was the food worth it! I had the Cat Fish Platter and my fiance had the 1/2 pound of Shrimp with the garlic butter sauce. Both entrees were fresh and perfectly seasoned. My fiance liked her food so much, we ended up ordering a full seafood boil a few minutes later. When I say the food was phenomenal, it really was. Lastly, you got to get that Watermelon Lemonade! You won't be disappointed. Just make sure to shake it first. I only wish I could have tried that passion fruit drink. However, they were sold out for the day. We'll definitely be stopping by the next time we're in Orlando. Quick tip for first timers: The shop is located on the side of the building closest to S Hiawassee road. If you get towards the Rent-a-Center in the plaza you're going the wrong way.
I finally tried the food at The Season God, after seeing so many posts about their food truck on social media. I ordered the whole fried snapper platter and the lobster shrimp platter. The fries that come with the meals were surprisingly good. I didn't like that when I walked in, the windows and walls were totally blacked out. The entire restaurant felt like a smoke shop and kind of gave a very dark dungeon feeling. But I must say the place was clean and didn't look unsanitary. The whole snapper, however, was bland. The outer coating looked well-seasoned, but the fish itself had very little flavor, and even the seasoning on the outside was mild. The onions on top were okay. The fish was a great size, but I’d honestly prefer a smaller fish with flavor. This was also my first time trying fried lobster, and now I see why most places choose to steam or broil it instead. The fried lobster was tough and hard to cut—so much so that I didn’t even want to risk breaking the plastic fork and knife. The lobster didn’t have much flavor aside from a little parsley in the batter. Honestly, I couldn't taste the natural flavor of the lobster at all. The lobster shrimp platter was $60 ($50 for the lobster alone), and personally, I don’t feel the lobster was worth that price, but the lobster was big so that perhaps validated the cost. I’m glad I chose the platter so I could try the three shrimp that came with it, although the fried shrimp seemed a lil too salty. For reference, I had the sauce on the side because it’s mayo-based, and I’m not a big mayo fan. Overall, I’d say the food is okay. The presentation in the container was nice. The food looked very juicy and flavorful at first sight but the look didn't match the with the taste/ flavor. It’s worth trying at least once so you can decide for yourself, but for me, it was more of a “try it one time and now I know what it’s about” experience.
I absolutely love our random drives to find new places and this spot did not disappoint. Service was very nice and it was easy to order. Cash or credit options available and they also have a food truck and cater . It was a coin toss but I ended up ordering the #2 sweet and spicy shrimp and fries combo. There is a wait for the food as it's made fresh and worth the wait! Platter was really good and if there were more shrimp, I would've given them 5 stars. For $20 there are a lot more fries and less shrimp which was alittle disappointed. I think 7-8 pieces of shrimp would make it work the $20. Now lets talk about there lemonades ... OH MY GOODNESS!!!! Love at first sip! The watermelon lemonade tastes like a watermelon jolly rancher and the blueberry lemonade ( also like a jolly rancher ) was like the old school flip cups. Literally so good we ordered more to Go lol . I definitely recommend this local spot on old winter garden road near metro west. Support small business Saturday !
The food was good my son ordered the sweet chill chicken and shrimp. The pan is small but fufilling Shrimp was large chicken was crispy food was fresh and hot only thing that i did not like was they did not put enough sauce on the food. Oh and the french fries was crispy and good.
This place is amazing. My food came out so fresh and flavorful, well seasoned. I’ve visited 3x already. This place almost feels like home. This meal with some avacado ranch on the side is the best combination EVER! I will definitely be back 1000% sure ‼
Absolutely everything that is advertised and more. The customer service is good. This is a great place to get seafood. I ordered the shrimp over fries, the catfish plate, and lemonade. Everything was cooked fresh and tasted delicious. If you are ever in Orlando, you have to eat here. I highly recommend this food truck.
Customer service 10/10 food 10/10 atmosphere 10/10 just moved to Orlando from Nashville tn and trying to find spots that offer what my city does. We had a small issue with my fries being left out of my order but when I say the owners front end staff was amazing at fixing the issue. Yall are amazing and I will be back.
